At lunch the extensive menu is all written on blackboards whilst in the evening the menus come printed with daily specials from the blackboards.

This very popular, traditional pub recently underwent a complete renovation in early 2010. The character of the interior is an eclectic mix of antiques and objects with the emphasis on a light and airy finish.
Direct sea views can be had across Kingsand Bay to the anchored yachts and Her Majesty’s naval fleet entering Plymouth Sound.

Your hosts are Dawn and Jerome Leopold. Jerome hails from the Lorraine region of Northern France. He has the French passion for classic, uncomplicated, dishes using the very best of fresh, local produce. Dawn hails from Lancashire and brings her own style to the smooth running of the service and bar.
The menu changes seasonally with daily specials on the blackboards, is well priced and excellent value.
