Curlew was indeed built for an Admiral, in fact the title deeds stipulated that he should be rowed in a longboat to Plymouth Dockyard. Newly refurbished, just off the central square, Curlew Cottage is the ideal self-catering option for up to 8 + 2 people in a style to suit today's sea-lovers!
There are 4 bedrooms on 3 levels plus one living room with sofa bed, an open-plan kitchen/dining room, bathrooms with WCs (one en-suite), one separate wet-room shower and an extra cloakroom WC on the ground floor. With a sea view on every floor.
The 3 oven Aga range cooker makes cooking really easy but for times when you don't want to cook, there are are two great cafe choices as well as child-friendly pubs moments away. The water is heated by solar panels (with conventional energy back-up) and the central heating draws on solar power as well. Although there is no parking space at the cottage, you can unload at the front door and the car-park is only about 100 metres away. It's also a great choice for a car-free holiday, with the Cawsand Ferry taking you from Plymouth Barbican pretty much to the door!
